The South Carolina Surgical Quality Collaborative (SCSQC) was designed to improve surgical quality safety in the state, by focusing specifically on targeted procedures.

The SCSQC has partnered with engaged surgical leaders across the state to establish a continuous quality improvement structure and learning healthcare system.

Using near real-time reporting of clinical data, dashboards of metrics and benchmark data are shared with surgical leaders to aid in identifying improvement opportunities and the implementation of best practices with the goal of decreasing complications, lowering costs, and decreasing health disparities in South Carolina.
